GLBT Get UnifiedVoice For Civil Partnership Proposal

UnifedVoice.org plans to meet with Pink Weddings LLC. Plans are currently in works for the two to work together with Pink Weddings launch in the Phoenix Area.

With tensions mounting in the gay community Philip Cotton, founder of Unifedvoice.org ">, has contacted Gino Meriano, founder of Pink Weddings LLC, to discuss the actions that need to be taken in respect to the controversial vote from Arizona, California and Florida that now bans same-sex marriage.

Meriano says, "It's now time for change. We have rights - human rights, and under no circumstances must we accept anything less that equal rights when couples look to seal and protect their relationship."

Mr. Meriano and Mr. Cotton will now look to introduce a proposition that gains equal legal rights for same-sex couples called the "Civil Partnership Proposition."

The proposition will divorce any attachment to the word "marriage" and hence remove religious beliefs or dogma from legal rights and state recognition provided for gay and lesbian couples. It solves any objections from those who believe in the supposed sanctity of a union between a man and a woman, and in turn legally recognizes same-sex couples as legal partners with the same rights as opposite-sex couples.

Mr. Cotton says, "The Voters of California, Arizona and Florida voted and said, 'No.' We - the gays, lesbians, bi-sexuals and trans-genders of America - will say, 'Yes.' America is the greatest nation on earth, and we live by the belief that all men are credited equal no matter what their sexual preference is. We live in a nation that has a history of different rights for different groups of people. Unifiedvoice.org will work to get this changed. We will fight for the right to have equal rights."

Both are set to meet later this month in hopes nailing down a plan on how both organizations will work together to get their mission accomplished.
