FAA's COO Hank Krakowski Perjures Himself In Contempt of Congress

Just like his failed colleague, now-departing Acting FAA Administrator 'Bobby' Sturgell has done, numerous times, FAA COO Henry ("Hank") Krakowski has now himself purposefully misled Congress publicly and under oath. In Krakowski's July 15, 2008 testimony before the Senate Committee On Commerce, Science, And Transportation, Subcommittee On Aviation Operations, Safety, And Security, the FAA COO proffered knowingly-false efficacy 'projections' for the FAA-proposed NY/NJ/PHL Airspace Redesign ("Redesign"), lying as follows:

'[FAA] project[s] that under the Airspace Redesign, delays will be cut by 200,000 hours annually. This is the single greatest improvement to address congestion we see in the near future for the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area. We also project that this will save $248 million annually in operating costs for airlines. Additionally, the increased flexibility during severe weather is projected to save another $37 million annually. Finally, the environmental advantages include reduced carbon dioxide emissions of a projected 430 million pounds per year, and the residents affected by aviation noise will be reduced by more than 600,000. These are impressive gains'. [Emphasis added].

Yet Hank Krakowski perjured himself in contempt of Congress on July 15, 2008 and lied like the rug (not) on his head. Witness Krakowski's own words on the very same topic from several months ago:

How is "the single greatest improvement" "only" a "Band-Aid Solution", Hank Krakowski?

With copy of this Press Release issuing to every relevant branch of government including the Senate, House, I.G., GAO, and FBI, and to the world media and all other interested parties, Quiet Rockland respectfully requests that a criminal action now be commenced to indict FAA COO Hank Krakowski for his perjurious statements in contempt of Congress made on July 15, 2008. Krakowski is no better nor more careful a liar than has-been 'Bobby' Sturgell has been".
