Bradford Networks, which secures network access for corporate issued and personal mobile devices, has been positioned by Gartner Company as a visionary in the 2011 “Magic Quadrant for Network Access Control.

The research analyzes the evolution of the network access control market and evaluates its vendors according to their business and technology vision, as well as their ability to execute against that vision in their products and services.

The report says that Gartner believes the market  will emerge as one of the key mechanisms for providing a flexible approach to protecting the network against the risks of personally owned mobile devices.

The analyst firm estimates that the size of the NAC market in 2011 will be approximately $ 206 million, an increase of approximately 3% over the market in 2010. For 2012, they expect market growth of approximately 10%.

Bradford is growing 10 times faster than the overall NAC market. We believe this Gartner research reflects our vision of being a flexible security platform benefiting from the BYOD [Bring Your Own Device] phenomenon. We are thrilled to be recognized as a Visionary and proud of our consistent innovation in a market that has gone through three distinct phases.” – Tom Murphy CMO Bradford Networks

Bradford pioneered the network access control market and is committed to advancing the mobile device coverage and service delivery models,” he stressed.

According to company management, “The BYOD phenomenon is driving growth in the NAC market as organizations seek to apply policies specific to personally owned mobile devices.”

Gartner also noted, “The BYOD phenomenon has shifted momentum to the NAC pure-play vendors, many of whom have added capabilities in support of personally owned mobile devices.”

Bradford, a network access control market vendor, has grown to approximately 1,000 enterprise customers in over 20 countries with more than 4 million wired and wireless network devices under management. In addition to customer expansion, Bradford.cloud, the industry’s first pure NAC Security-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering, and Network Sentry 5.3, which can automatically differentiate between a corporate and personal owned mobile device, contributed to Bradford’s visionary status.
