APC Supports Smart+Connected Life at Cisco Pavilion During Expo 2010
APC's InfraStruxure(R) Solutions Help Improve Availability and Energy Efficiency in Support of Cisco's Smart+Connected Communities Vision

APC's energy efficient physical layer solutions will help ensure availability on the Cisco Unified Computing System™ and the EMC Vblock™ solutions that are powering the Cisco Pavilion, showing the modularity, scalability and manageability of the solutions when used in the enterprise data center. Outside of the data center, Schneider Electric's building management solutions and APC's InfraStruxure management software portfolio integrate with Cisco EnergyWise to provide for more visibility and management of connected devices over the IP network, resulting in decreased energy consumption across the Cisco Pavilion, demonstrating how Smart+Connected Communities of tomorrow can make the most of their energy.

- "Hall of the Rhone-Alpes" showcasing the expertise and innovation of businesses from the French region;
- "The Belgium-European Union Pavilion," as a corporate sponsor and technical partner of the International Polar Foundation on the Princess Elisabeth Antarctica Polar Station project, the first "Zero emission" scientific research base; and finally
- "Paris Ile-de-France Pavilion" where Schneider Electric will share our vision for urban 'decarbonization.'
Through its subsidiary Pelco by Schneider Electric, a member of the Cisco Developer Network, Schneider Electric is supplying the video surveillance system for the entire Expo site ensuring the management of traffic patterns throughout the venue.
