Camber Corporation Wins Defense Department's Highest Security Award

Camber Corporation is honored to receive the Defense Security Service's (DSS) James S. Cogswell Outstanding Industrial Security Achievement Award for 2010.

The Cogswell Award recognizes the critical partnership between industry and government to protect classified information and those industry programs that far exceed the basic National Industrial Security Program requirements. The DSS selection process considers nominees from among 13,000 defense contractor facilities. Successful candidates must have attained at least two consecutive superior ratings from their DSS Industrial Security Representative and demonstrate industry leadership in establishing "best practices" policies and procedures.

"Camber's security program and posture reflect a continuous effort by security staff across the Corporation to apply industrial security principles as practical, effective security measures and themes," says Jackie Bray, Corporate Security Manager. "This award validates our focus. We see a security environment that is constantly changing, and we have to change with it."

Camber Corporation continues to expand its efforts to address customer concerns at Joint and service locations throughout the Department of Defense, scaling its security program and posture to satisfy increasing operational needs. "We are exceedingly proud of our security staff, but also of our close relationship with DSS security specialists," stated Joe Alexander, President. "Camber's recognition as a Cogswell recipient reflects a true team effort between the Defense Security Service and our security staff, and is an honor I believe we share."
