Commercial Data Systems Announces New Leadership and Strategic Focus

Company Reorganization and New Leadership Team to Position CDS for Targeted Growth

CDS will focus its new business and growth initiatives in line with its core competencies, and has scaled back in east coast operations only to create a more efficient business model.

James Altamirano has been named president and will oversee the mainland headquarters in Albuquerque, as well as strategic planning, business development, channel development and direct sales management for the entire company. Charles Rarick has been named vice president, sales and technology, responsible for CDS sales and engineering teams. Tammy Byrd has been named vice president of services, which oversees all aspects of support services and maintenance contracts for customers nationwide purchasing products from leading manufacturers such as Sun/Oracle, NetApp and IBM.

The $80 million IT integration company will maintain offices in Honolulu (corporate headquarters) and Albuquerque (mainland headquarters), with field representatives servicing the company's east coast clients and nationwide.

Jim Altamirano has been with CDS for almost ten years, most recently serving as vice president of sales for the western region. He has also held executive positions with Sun Microsystems (now DBA Oracle) and IBM Corporation. Charles Rarick has almost 30 years of experience in IT sales, where he has worked as a systems engineer, branch manager, business development manager and sales representative for companies such as IBM, Sun Microsystems, and Network Appliance. Over the course of his career, Charles has had the opportunity to support customers in nearly every governmental and commercial market segment. Tammy Byrd previously served as director of CDS Services.
