TCW's Tad Rivelle to Discuss MetWest Total Return Bond Fund on Conference Call

TCW's Tad Rivelle to Discuss MetWest Total Return Bond Fund on Conference Call

The TCW Group (TCW), an international asset-management firm, invites you to participate in a conference call on Tuesday, June 29 with Tad Rivelle, portfolio manager of the MetWest Total Return Bond Fund (MWTIX).

The title of Mr. Rivelle's presentation is "An Introduction to the MetWest Total Return Bond Fund." Mr. Rivelle, the Chief Investment Officer for High-Grade Fixed Income at TCW, will discuss the Fund's history and performance, investment thesis and portfolio opportunities.

Mr. Rivelle will share his views on the sustainability of Federal "bridge financing" (stimulus) to the private sector, conditions in residential real-estate and banking system de-leveraging. In addition to opining on what assets the fixed income investor should consider owning, he will also consider whether a double-dip recession is a likely event in 2011, or whether the policy response has, to date, put the U.S. on the road to recovery.

"Though the outlook for the U.S. economy is mixed, and we expect growth to remain muted, we continue to identify compelling opportunities within the fixed income sector," Rivelle said. "MetWest has always employed disciplined research and bottom-up issue selection to exploit inefficiencies in fixed income markets, and those inefficiencies are very much in evidence in today's market. For example, even as the housing market continues to demonstrate weakness and rely heavily on government support, we see the potential for attractive risk-adjusted returns by investing in certain senior non-agency Mortgage-Backed Securities."

Mr. Rivelle joined TCW in December 2009 when TCW announced its acquisition of Metropolitan West Asset Management LLC (MetWest). The transaction was completed in February 2010.
