The three buildings are all encompassed by the National Historic Site designated in 1998 as a unit of the National Park Service. The Magnolia station's exterior has been restored to its 1957 appearance as part of the interpretation of the desegregation conflict that became known as the Little Rock Crisis, the first significant test of the United States Supreme Court's Brown vs. Board of Education of Topeka decision which declared the "separate but equal" doctrine of education unconstitutional.
Parking is available in the visitor center parking lot. Participants are encouraged to bring folding chairs, hats, and sunscreen. For more information, or if inclement weather is in the forecast, please contact Crystal Mercer at (501) 374-1947 or crystal_mercer@nps.gov.
