Worth Ave. Group Awards Grants to Colleges and Universities

-

Worth Ave. Group, a full service electronics insurance provider, has awarded five colleges with $ 1,000 grants further reinforcing its continued commitment to support technology initiatives in higher education.

Grant winners include Muskingum University, Edward Waters College, Florida State University, the University of Virginia’s College at Wise, and the University of New Orleans.

Technology has had — and will continue to have — a significant impact on higher education. Today’s college classrooms are no longer filled with overhead projectors and grease pencils. From Netbooks to e-readers, college campuses and students alike are making big investments in technologies that will enhance learning experiences.”  – Matt Shaw business development manager Worth Ave. Group

According to Shaw, there is a real need for college students to acquire insurance for all of their personal belongings. Worth Ave. Group offers college policy insurance plans that not only cover electronic devices but everything else for students such as text books, bicycles and personal items. The most popular College Plus personal property insurance plan provides $ 6,000 coverage for 12 months. Deductible options vary from $ 25, $ 50 or $ 100.

Worth Ave. Group offers affordable coverage plans that protect iPhones, iPads, laptop and desktop computers, TVs, digital cameras, PDAs and other portable electronic devices against accidental damage and theft.
