OMB’s Shelley Metzenbaum, HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan among federal leaders to address Excellence in Government conference
Hundreds of federal managers convened at the Excellence in Government Conference in Washington, D.C. to explore the outlook for federal budgets and gain insights into the consequences of the cuts on the horizon.
With Congress’ Super Committee working on additional savings as part of the August debt ceiling deal and with OMB’s recent mandate that agencies cut up to 10% from their 2013 budgets, the challenge to federal managers is clear: do more with less.
Members of the media and the federal community were invited to attend Excellence in Government to hear three can’t-miss keynote speakers:
-- HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan on budget pressures, high-priority goals, and performance management efforts -- "Blah, Blah, Blah" author Dan Roam on improving communication, presentation, and ideation in your organization -- OMB Associate Director Shelley Metzenbaum on cutting waste, boosting productivity, and accomplishing more mission for the money
Excellence in Government is the premier conference series dedicated to creating high-performance government. Excellence in Government offers federal managers access to the latest best practices in key management areas such as program performance, information technology, and human capital.
