Emergency management from prevention and mitigation to response and recovery is a shared responsibility. Government, at all levels, as well as first responders work in partnership to protect public safety.
Public Safety Canada’s JEPP program supports emergency preparedness projects, Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) and critical infrastructure initiatives across Canada. JEPP funding allows for the purchase of emergency response equipment such as:
Radio and Telecommunications Equipment
Emergency Generators
Protective Equipment
Sensors for Hazardous Apparatus
Thermal Imaging Cameras
Search and Rescue Equipment
