Charles Industries Announces New VP for Telecom Sales

Charles Industries has announced the appointment of Joseph T. (Joe) Burke, Jr. as vice president of its telecom sales.  Burke brings extensive experience and industry recognition to the company.

His responsibilities include global sales coordination and management of Charles Industries Telecommunications Group. In this capacity, he will lead and oversee implementation of strategic sales and customer development, as well as sales organization and structure.

Together with his sales team, Burke will work to maximize Charles’ global presence and market share in providing broadband and outside plant environmental enclosure solutions to the telecommunications, wireless, utility and cable TV markets.

The executive’s 25-year industry experience includes strategic business planning and implementation, worldwide sales and marketing leadership, new business and market development, product development and management.

Burke held previous positions including Group Vice President with ADC Telecommunications, Vice President of Sales with Edgecom Corporation, Executive Vice President with Fabrinet and most recently as President & CEO of Quasar Technologies.

Burke holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Bonaventure University of New York and is a former military officer in the United States Army. He will be based out of Charles Industries’ corporate headquarters in Rolling Meadows, Illinois.
