BOOKS PRESENTED TO COLLEGE ATHLETIC DEPARTMENTS

Jim Irsay, owner of the Indianapolis Colts gave out copies of Joe Ehrmann’s book, InSideOut Coaching: How Sports Can Transform Lives to all high school head football coaches in Indiana.

Irsay said “My relationship with Joe is very special, and I have a tremendous personal and professional regard for his dedicated work to help others.”

Irsay mentioned how he was inspired by the book and that he wants to help all coaches in Indiana by giving them a copy of the book.

While Joe Ehrmann played professional football for 13 seasons, his greatest accomplishments in the world of sports have been off the field as a child advocate, coach, inner-city community developer and for helping to redefine sports and reframe coaching.

He was named one of the 100 Most Influential Sports Educators in America and honored by The National Consortium for Academics & Sports.

Ehrmann was cited the “Most Important Coach in America” by Parade Magazine.

InSideOut Coaching is an autobiography, motivational manifesto and instructional manual. Ehrmann shares his personal history, and explains why and how he developed his transformational coaching philosophy.

Ehrmann advocates sports and coaching as a tool “to help boys and girls become men and women of empathy and integrity who will lead, be responsible, and change the world for good.”

InSideOut Coaching is a must-read, not only for coaches, but for players, parents, mentors, teachers, and social activists.

The response and receptivity has been tremendous since its release last August 2.

One advocate of the book purchased copies for every Division I Athletic Director, Head Football, Basketball, and Lacrosse Coach in America.

Individuals who believe in the InSideOut message have found creative ways to use their resources to continue the dialogue around the role of transformational coaching in sports today.
